Discover Andros Town, capital of Andros Island, a city with centuries of history where monuments, churches, and ruins line the streets, bearing witness to a rich cultural heritage unlike that of any other Cycladic capital. Also called Chora, it occupies a narrow promontory between two bays, its marble-paved main street lined with neoclassical mansions raised by shipowning families rather than with the cubic houses typical of the islands.
