In Italy's Aosta Valley, amid some of the highest peaks in the Alps, this episode presents the Leper's Tower and Bramafam Castle, two distinctive landmarks that embody the region's rich heritage. Both belong to the medieval reoccupation of Aosta, the Roman colony of Augusta Praetoria, whose walls and gates were reused as foundations for seigneurial strongholds.
