Bosa: la ciudad de colores del Temo

Bosa: la ciudad de colores del Temo

Few Italian towns compose themselves so readily for the camera. Bosa climbs a hillside on the west coast of Sardinia in tight terraces of ochre, pink and blue houses, above the slow green water of the Temo — the only navigable river on the island. At the summit stands the castle built by the Malaspina family, its curtain wall following the ridge, enclosing a chapel whose medieval frescoes are among the most remarkable in Sardinia. Below, the Sa Costa quarter is a labyrinth of stepped lanes, arches and washing lines. On the opposite bank, a long alignment of former tanneries recalls the leather trade that supported the town for centuries and now survives as industrial heritage. Downstream, the river reaches the sea at Bosa Marina, guarded by a coastal tower. Filmed in 4K with aerial sequences, the programme follows the river, the streets and the light on a town of exceptional visual coherence.
