Located in the historic centre of Aosta, beside the remains of the Roman forum, the Aosta Cathedral reflects centuries of religious and architectural history. This documentary explores its Romanesque foundations, medieval frescoes and later transformations, revealing the spiritual heart of the city. The eleventh-century campaign gave the building its twin bell towers and crypt, and left a painted cycle preserved above the later vaults; Gothic rebuilding added the carved choir stalls and stained glass, and a neoclassical façade was applied in the nineteenth century. A museum attached to the cathedral displays the treasury and the sacred art of the valley.
