페사로 시나고그

Pesaro faces the Adriatic in the Marche region, a port whose fortunes were tied to exchange between the Italian peninsula and the eastern Mediterranean. Its Jewish community was part of that fabric, and the synagogue preserved in the old town is its most tangible trace. The programme moves from the street, where the building keeps a deliberately modest face, to the prayer hall, where the arrangement of the ark, the reading platform and the gallery reveals how worship was organised. Craft detail is given its due: woodwork, textiles, inscriptions, and light falling across a room conceived for gathering rather than display. Around it, narrow streets recall a coexistence at times prosperous, at times precarious. Filmed in 4K, the film pairs patient architectural photography with wide views of the coastal town, offering a self-contained portrait of a minority heritage still being studied and recovered across Italy.
