布拉诺:威尼斯泻湖中的色彩

布拉诺:威尼斯泻湖中的色彩

Burano lies in the northern lagoon, beyond Murano, a flat island of canals, low houses and moored boats. What makes it instantly recognisable is colour: each façade painted a different shade — cobalt, rust, ochre, mint — a custom the islanders explain by the need to identify one's own house through the lagoon fog. Nets dry along the fondamenta, the bell tower of San Martino leans visibly over the rooftops, and small bridges cross canals where the water reflects the walls. The island's second inheritance is needle lace, worked here for centuries and once traded across Europe; a museum and a handful of remaining lacemakers keep the technique visible. Filmed in 4K, the programme observes the daily life of a working island — fishermen, markets, courtyards — and the singular chromatic composition it offers, while placing Burano within the wider ecology of the Venetian lagoon.
