Nestled in the lower Aosta Valley, above the Lys as it descends towards the valley floor, Perloz is a small mountain village shaped by rural traditions and alpine landscapes. Its settlement is dispersed across hamlets on the slope, in the pattern typical of the district, with dry-stone terraces reclaiming ground for vines and pasture and roofs of heavy stone slabs. This documentary explores its stone architecture, terraced hillsides and local heritage, revealing everyday life in a lesser-known corner of the valley, away from the castles and Roman monuments that dominate its reputation, and closer to the working landscape that sustained it.
