パーテル・ノステル教会:主の祈りのカルメル会修道院

The Pater Noster monastery occupies a site on the Mount of Olives that Christian tradition associates with the teaching of the Lord's Prayer. What makes it immediately recognisable is its decorative programme: along the cloister walls and throughout the grounds, the prayer is set out on large glazed ceramic panels, language after language — European tongues alongside African, Asian, Pacific and indigenous American languages, ancient scripts beside living ones. The effect is a wall of world languages, a map of Christianity's spread rendered in tile. The Carmelite community that holds the site maintains the cloisters, the church and the gardens, and archaeological remains recall the succession of sanctuaries that stood on this part of the ridge before them. The setting adds a further register: from the terraces, the view runs across the Kidron Valley to the walls of Jerusalem. For 4K production, the site is unusually rich — vivid ceramic colour, strong graphic repetition, calm cloister geometry, and an editorial angle that travels far beyond the Holy Land, since almost every audience can find its own language on these walls.
